These tower models NAS consist of the AS5008T, AS5010T, AS5108T and AS5110T. All these models feature hardware expandability, the ability to upgrade the built-in memory to a maximum of 8GB and are equipped with four GbE ports which allow business users to adjust their network bandwidth usage. All models come equipped with three USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and two eSATA.

The AS5008T and AS5010T models are powered by the Celeron 2.41GHz dual-core processors and 1GB of SO-DIMM DDR3L memory while the AS5108T and AS5110T models come equipped with the Celeron 2.0 GHz quad-core processors and 2GB of SO-DIMM DDR3L memory. All models also support HDD hot swapping and the creation of RAID volumes (single, JBOD, RAID-1/5/6/10 + hot spare) providing secure protection for all system data. The AS5108T and AS5110T feature LCD panels with configuration keys that allow users to execute system initialization and quickly view basic system information. They feature disk tray locks in order to help users avoid accidentally pushing disk tray buttons and releasing HDDs during operation. The lock’s flat-head design ensures that users will not need any special keys or tools to unlock it, only a flat-head screw driver. Users can rest assured with this additional layer of security for their data.

Enterprise users have always required increased productivity and simple management. Using this as an objective, Asustor has chosen to use CPUs with hardware acceleration functions allowing for smoother multitasking while the meticulously developed ADM OS provides an intuitive and simple management interface. No matter if it is system expansion or migration, ADM is able to simplify maintenance and management for IT professionals,” said Johnny Chen, product manager, Asustor. “Also worth mentioning is the ability to quickly access the memory in these new devices. Users only need to remove the cover to upgrade the memory. This undoubtedly will be of great help to IT professionals and managers.

All Asustor NAS devices come built-in with the ADM OS. The version of ADM (ADM 2.3) features a refreshed interface, providing login screen that users can customize according to their personal preferences or corporate identity. Also, support for SMB 2.0 increases overall performance by 30%-50%. Additionally, functions such as system migration allow enterprise users to change from a smaller capacity Asustor NAS to a larger capacity NAS when the scale of their business growth demands it. Users would need to take out their existing HDDs and insert them into the new system to get access to their data. This simplifies management for IT professionals as it creates minimum downtime while removing the need to learn any kind of new OS. Asustor offers online capacity expansion where users can replace their existing HDDs with larger capacity ones as their storage needs increase. All this is done while the system is online, with all data available for access. Asustor has introduced its MyArchive storage technology which allows users to use HDDs as removable storage archives. Users can reserve up to 2 disk bays for MyArchive HDD docking purposes, enjoying unlimited storage capacity.

Asustor has added number of practical functions for enterprise users. They include TFTP transfer protocol, proxy server connections and ACL advanced file permissions management. Additionally users can use App Central to download and install any NAS Apps free of charge. Apps that are available on App Central include Mail Server, antivirus, Dropbox, Google Drive, and HiDrive allowing enterprise users to create customized cloud storage with a high price to performance ratio.

All Asustor NAS devices all come with three-year warranties and are available for purchase from dealers.
