Emtec Presenting “Wherever You Are” Personal Cloud Storage System

Cloud Cube and Cloud Stick to come next summer

Emtec, Inc. announced the WEYA (Wherever You Are) cloud storage ecosystem, a personal cloud for everyone.

EMTEC - WEYA - Cloud Cube

WEYA combines the convenience of the cloud with the security of device-based storage. This personal cloud keeps documents, photos, music and video synced across devices, with simple plug-and-play setup and control of one’s data. These connected home products make it easy to share and stream a user’s collection of movies, music and photos, on computers, phones and tablets.

The WEYA’s cloud and wifi-connected storage devices make it simple to backup all data in one secure place, giving users the power to enjoy and share their content anywhere, at any time, no matter the device,” said Nathalie Lamri, marketing and communication director, Emtec. “With Emtec, it’s easy to control and enjoy your digital life, however you see fit.

The WEYA system is designed to unite the user’s movies, photos, music and documents within one secure product line. The WEYA personal cloud is compatible with Mac, PC and Linux-based systems, supplemented with iPhone and Android apps.

WEYA line includes new hardware products:

  • Cloud Cube is the base unit of the personal cloud server, and remains in a central home or office location, offering  acces to the WEYA sharing infrastructure and storing all files. It does not require technical knowledge, special software or configuration. It’s a safe and secure way to access and sync data from anywhere, on any device. The process of sharing is simplified; no need to create different folders for friends and family with distinct access. You can manage sharing with a single right-click. The Cloud Cube will debut summer 2015 as a range of products including single-bay, dual-bay with mirroring, and a hub device to link a user’s external drives.
  • Cloud Stick is a portable cloud drive that fits in pocket. It syncs the contents of your flash drive  to your WEYA cloud and offers the convenience of the WEYA file-sharing network, backed by the same security as the Cloud Cube base station. It plugs it into USB port for access to entire file library. It will debut summer 2015.
