Corel Joins One-Blue Licensing Program for Blu-ray Disc

One-Blue, LLC, announced that Corel Corporation, Ottawa, Canada has joined the One-Blue Blu-ray Disc product licensing program as a licensee.

Corel signed the License Agreement for BD-Software which grants the company access to important patents essential to the Blu-ray Disc standard from leading licensors.

“Corel is a leading developer of video editing and computer software and is a welcomed addition to the One-Blue licensing program,” said William Lenihan, director, IP Licensing, One-Blue.

One-Blue administers the licensing program for patents to Blu-ray Disc products and is the joint licensing agent of its licensors. For hardware and software products, the product license covers Blu-ray Disc, DVD and CD essential patents; for disc products, the product license covers Blu-ray Disc essential patents.
