Buffalo Technology announced the LinkStation 441 NAS 4-bay desktop (LS441D) and enclosure (LS441DE).

The LinkStation is a customisable NAS solution for small businesses and home offices, providing a convenient way to manage data between devices remotely.

Available as a diskless enclosure or populated with 4/8/12/16TB capacity, the LinkStation 441 can be connected to an external HDD, providing users the ability to backup data or expand the total capacity of the unit (front: 1xUSB 3.0 and rear: 1xUSB 3.0, 1xUSB 2.0). Along with the normal operating mode, installation of four HDD drives provides four additional RAID modes (0/1/5/10) to select from, offering data protection from drive failure. It has been designed for performance with 100 MB/s transfer speeds, enabling fast data transfers and personal cloud storage (NASPT Target: 4xHD playback).

Compatible with Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS, the LinkStation is packed with features for transferring files and streaming content remotely from the security of a home network. WebAccess service turns the LinkStation 441 into a personal cloud, which allows remote access of files from any location and device (Android/iOS/Windows). Additionally, a free Bittorrent app (available for Android only) can be used to manage downloads remotely, without the use of a dedicated desktop, and TwonkyBeam enables both Android and iOS users to remotely stream their media content.
