IntelliMagic Vision V8.0 Supports Cisco Switches
Added to existing Brocade
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 19, 2014 at 3:00 pmIntelliMagic, Inc. announced support for Cisco Systems, Inc.‘s switches, available in version 8.0 of Vision.
Availability Intelligence, produced by Vision, uncovers dangers in IT infrastructure through automated and intelligent analysis of performance and configuration data, along with built-in hardware capacity knowledge.
Support for Cisco switches in SAN environments has been added to the existing Brocade support in Vision. By integrating fabric views with storage views an end-to-end analysis of risks and problems is now possible, all the way from the host connected ports to the back-end storage devices and their associated resources.
“With this reporting you can identify problems in the storage network caused by hot links or connector failures,” said Brett Allison, technical services team lead. “The constantly updated health dashboards for Cisco fabric highlight port errors and oversubscription of performance bandwidth, for example, and allow you to quickly drill down to identify the culprit ports.“
With the Web Reporter, authorized users can view dashboards and reports from any PC or mobile device, without installing any client software. The Web Reporter makes it easier than ever to share performance and availability status reports for mission critical enterprise infrastructure.
Vision is available for installation on-premise, or as a cloud services offering for short or long term engagements.
“Cisco switch support has been requested by some of our largest customers. We are pleased to provide this deep, automated analysis of another part of their mission critical infrastructure,” says Brent Phillips, MD Americas, IntelliMagic.
