Nimbus Concept Adopts Storage Made Easy for OpenStack Swift

Nimbus Concept S.L., a start-up with an experience using Open Source solutions such a OpenStack to generate and automate cloud latforms, integrates the Storage Made Easy (trading name of Vehera LTD) Enterprise File Share and Sync Solution as part of their offering to the Spanish Market.

Nimbus Concept has an expertise in the IT sector, participating and coordinating multiple projects for health, public administration, energy efficiency, tourism, payments and banking verticals on distributed and cloud environments.

The integration of the Enterprise File Share and Sync Solution enables Nimbus Concept to enhances their OpenStack offering with business features, such as offering secure password protected file sharing with time expiry; Mac, Windows and Linux desktop synchronization; file content search; security and corporate governance features such as auditing, file tracking and GEO location restrictions; native support for all mobile devices including Android, iOS, Windows phone and BlackBerry; full branding from web, to desktop and mobile.

The solution also adds a protocol gateway which exposes access to OpenStack Swift data over FTP / WebDav / SFTP and from an Amazon S3 compatible API, enabling complete flexibility of access.

In addition to OpenStack the SME solution currently supports more than 45 private and public data clouds such as Amazon S3, EMC Atmos, Cloudian, SharePoint, SalesForce, Office 365 and CleverSafe. It acts as a cloud control point to enable secure sharing auditing and governance of cloud data.

Nimbus Concept will use the Enterprise cloud Solution as part of a hybrid cloud product (SaaS and IaaS) behind the corporate firewall as an enabler to offer application solutions for OpenStack Swift deployments.
