The FC Gen 5 16Gb 64-port blade (#3664) is designed for service provider and enterprise data center markets with requirements for high device port connectivity.
This blade delivers consolidation with savings in the cost of management. Enabled through QSFP optic connectivity using MPO/MTP cabling and patch panels, this blade includes:
- Sixteen QSFP ports per blade
- QSFP ports and optics supporting 16Gb, 8Gb, and 4Gb speeds
- Maximum 2:1 oversubscription at 16Gb port speeds (same as #3864)
- Configurable ports for device connectivity and Inter switch links (ISLs)
- Standard port blade licensing supported at chassis level with no new hardware or software licensing required
The FCoE 10GbE 24-port blade (#3880) is now supported on the 2499-816 Gen 5 directors. This feature provides one blade with 24 external ports of CEE interfaces that support SFP+ transceivers.
