NovaStor NovaBackup 16.5 With New Device Support for Popular File Sharing Services

NovaStor AG announced NovaBackup 16.5 with feature enhancements that make it the fastest and most robust release of the company

It offers the new incremental ability to interact with applications such as DropBox and OneDrive to make them operate as a secure backup device.

File sharing services currently supported include Dropbox, OneDrive, GoogleDrive, SkyDrive, SafeSync, and iDriveSync.

NovaBackup 16.5 works with these file sharing services in following ways:

• Backup destination (private cloud) – Backup files from a local machine to the storage available within the file sharing service. Data can be copied in a native format or in NovaStor’s proprietary backup format (compressed and encrypted) which can be restored to any computer with an equal or greater version of NovaBackup Version 16.5 installed.

• Backup source – Backup files from your preferred file sharing service to a local device. Best practice is having a copy of your critical date both local and offsite. An added benefit to having an alternate local copy is that the data is protected from being overwritten or mistakenly deleted.

• Backup between two file sharing services – Easily backup the contents of one file sharing service to another that has equal available storage.
