This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 19, 2014 at 2:30 pmAddonics Technologies, Inc. announced the 5-IN-3 drive chassis, a storage solution that increases the density of storage devices in a small space.
The product features a drive bracket that enables users to install up to five 3.5″ drives into many desktop PC, server or rackmount systems via three standard 5.25″ drive bays.
The 5-IN-3 increases 67% of the total number of 3.5″ storage devices that can be installed into multi-bay storage chassis or systems with three or more 5.25″ drive bays.
For example on the Storage Tower III that has three 5.25″ drive bays, as many as ten HDDs can be installed by mounting five, instead of three, 2.5″ Double Snap-In drives into the 5-IN-3 Drive Chassis. Constructed with gauge sheet metal, the chassis offers a sturdy frame and efficient heat dissipation.
The 5-IN-3 is a flexible solution to mix different types of 3.5″ storage devices such as 3.5″ HDDs, various types of 2.5″ removable drive systems and Addonics family of internal flash reader/writers. This product gives customers the ability to incorporate this chassis into other Addonics products, such as its line of Storage Towers and 4U Racks.
The new Drive Chassis can also be installed into any PC tower with three 5.25″ drive bays. It is a solution for adding more HDDs into standard storage chassis for data centers, cloud computing, engineering, research, broadcasting, hosting, and many other storage applications.
The 5-IN-3 drive chassis price is $49.
