Asustor Adds AS7004T Tower NAS to 70T Series

Asustor, Inc. follows up the AS7008T and AS7010T with the AS7004T, part of the AS70T series it is a compact, tower model NAS created for enterprise and multimedia applications.

The 4-bay AS7004T model is the compact model in the AS70T series and features a storage capacity of up to 24TB. Powered by a Core i3-4330 3.5GHz dual-core processor and 2GB SO-DIMM DDR3 RAM (expandable to a maximum of 16GB), tit features read and write speeds of over 112MB/s. Also included, are 2 GbE ports, 3 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and 2 eSATA ports for added expansion possibilities.

The AS7004T boasts a cooling system featuring a single large fan and dedicated heat pipes that work with an designed disk tray vents to allow air to flow from the front to the back of the device,cooling the CPU and HDDs. Furthermore, the ADM smart fan control mechanism controls the fan speed, providing a quiet operating experience. The AS7004T’s output functionality make it the choice for prosumers who want to create a quality home entertainment center.

The AS7004T comes built-in with the latest ADM 2.3 (Asustor Data Master) OS which features refreshed graphics and a smoother browsing experience. ADM’s support for Windows AD and ACL permissions allows for efficient management and integration to business environments. Furthermore, support for SMB 2.0 increases Windows networking performance by 30%-50%. With regards to multimedia, users can install the latest version of the XBMC multimedia player (XBMC 13) from App Central for high-resolution 4K and 10-bit movies.
