Qnap Accelerated-Encryption for Turbo NAS

Using QvPC technology

Qnap Systems, Inc. announced that its QvPC technology supported Turbo NAS TS/SS-x53 Pro and TS-x51 lineup support full NAS accelerated-encryption technology, a feature available for the Turbo NAS OS – QTS 4.1.1.

Full NAS accelerated-encryption technology utilizes the power of quad/dual-core Celeron processors on the Turbo NAS to  increase the efficiency in data encryption/decryption tasks, with overall NAS read speeds improving by over 50% (over 240MB/s for the TS/SS-x53 Pro, 128MB/s for the TS-x51).

The TS/SS-x53 Pro and TS-x51 series feature Full NAS accelerated-encryption technology which delivers secure data transmission without sacrificing performance, providing users, particularly business users, with a trustworthy private cloud solution,” said Jason Hsu, product manager, Qnap.

The TS/SS-x53 Pro series is powered by a quad-core Celeron 2.0GHz processor with burst speed up to 2.41GHz, 8/4/2GB energy-efficient DDR3L RAM (expandable to 8GB), and supports 2 or 4 LAN ports that allow users to deploy network architecture based on different needs and requirements. The NAS delivers performance that maintains smooth system operations even during intensive data access or heavy multimedia streaming and transcoding.
