Nimble Storage Joined Hortonworks Technology Partner Program

Nimble Storage, Inc. announced that it has attained Hortonworks certification and joined the Hortonworks Technology Partner program.

Hortonworks, Inc. is a contributor to and provider of Apache Hadoop. The Nimble Storage Adaptive Flash platform enables enterprises to leverage Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) implementations to streamline workflows, increase performance by utilizing flash and implement enhanced data protection using sophisticated snapshots – all while lowering TCO and eliminating complexities associated with enterprise architectures.

As a certified Hortonworks Technology Partner, Nimble Storage will enable and accelerate the deployment of all data living in traditional Hadoop environments. Nimble streamlines analytics workflows by eliminating the need to extract the data from separate storage systems so that it can be loaded into a traditional Hadoop environment. With Nimble, IT personnel are no longer burdened with managing data that has already been integrated and analyzed with the Hortonworks Data Platform.

This platform was built by the core architects, builders and operators of Apache Hadoop and incorporates all of the necessary components to manage a cluster at scale and uncover business insights from existing and new big data sources. With a YARN-based architecture, HDP enables multiple workloads, applications and processing engines across single clusters with optimal efficiency.
