With Western Digital’s report of shipments of 64.7 million HDDs in CQ3 2014, Seagate’s report of 59.4 million HDDs shipments and Toshiba’s 23.0 million HDDs total HDD shipments in CQ3 2014 was 147 million units. This is up 6% from CQ2 2014 and results in total shipments for 2014 going into the last quarter of 423 million units.
