With GPFS Native RAID and the GPFS Storage Server solution, performance and capacity increase as you add GPFS Storage Servers. This solution is cost competitive and offers features that enhance the reliability, availability, and serviceability of storage.
The GPFS Native RAID GUI is enhanced for performance monitoring to include performance charting, pan and zoom capability, and usability improvements such as easier selection of certain performance metrics. Other GUI enhancements include solution-level error and failure reporting and directed maintenance procedures.
The GPFS Storage Server solution leverages the demand for GPFS V4.1 software and couples it with Power System S822L servers based on POWER8 technology, and Extreme Cloud Administrative Toolkit (xCAT).
