This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 9, 2014 at 3:16 pmScale Computing, Inc., provider of hyperconverged solutions, announced that Dario Zamarian has joined its board of directors.
He is a long-time technology executive and experienced industry veteran who most recently served as the global VP and WW GM of the enterprise systems and solutions division at Dell. Currently, he is an operating advisor at The Blackstone Group focused on enterprise technologies.
“Dario’s extensive product and go-to-market experience will be immensely valuable as Scale Computing continues to benefit from the trend toward hyperconvergence,” said Jeff Ready, CEO, Scale Computing. “Dario joins our board at a time when we are seeing a record number of IT organizations moving from legacy VMware infrastructure in favor of our superior, cost-competitive, and simpler to manage HC3 platform.”
“Convergence is indisputably one of the greatest forces in computing today, and Scale Computing has deep proprietary technology in this area that delivers a truly compelling and competitive alternative to VMware,” said Zamarian. “Scale Computing’s HC3 platform offers a scalable and highly available infrastructure with Apple-style simplicity. I look forward to working with the company’s first-rate management team to drive the HC3’s expansion in the market and make it the de facto standard for next generation data center infrastructure.”
Zamarian became familiar with Scale Computing while leading Dell’s converged infrastructure initiatives. Prior to Dell, he was a VP and GM at Cisco in its security and routing divisions.
At the start of his career, Zamarian had a number of executive positions at venture capital-funded companies.
