Ian Whiting President of Field Operations, Egnyte

Egnyte, Inc. has appointed Ian Whiting as president of field operations to oversee worldwide sales, global services, customer success and business development.

 He will leverage his more than 25 years of sales, marketing and operations experience in the enterprise software, server, storage and networking industries to drive Egnyte’s growth in the enterprise file services market, both domestically and internationally.

Ian comes on board at a pivotal time for the company to drive high-value growth and broader market penetration through global go-to-market strategies and multiple sales channels.“

Whiting most recently served as EVP of global field operations at Fusion-io acquired by SanDisk. Prior to that, he served as senior VP sales for the Americas at Riverbed Technology, Inc. Prior that, he served as SVP sales for Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., helping to grow the company’s revenues from approximately $500 million to more than $2 billion annually. Prior to Brocade, he held a number of senior sales positions in other high tech companies, including Compaq (acquired by HP).

He holds a Master’s Degree in European Business Management from Cranfield University (UK) and a Bachelor of Arts Honors in French and German from the University of Wales, Swansea.
