For archive digitization
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 18, 2014 at 2:44 pmCrossroads Systems, Inc. (CRDS) announced that Massasoit Community College, a multi-campus community college serving more than 11,000 students throughout MA, has deployed itsStrongBox NAS for long-term preservation of its digital content.
Spurring the need for a scalable archive, Massasoit Community College plans to digitize physical documents from the college’s founding in 1966 through today. The organization selected the StrongBox NAS to store and protect its irreplaceable content.
As the ultimate NAS for unstructured data, StrongBox enables the college to cost-effectively scale as more information is added to the archive. And, since much of the academic content must be preserved for decades, StrongBox’s data protection capabilities provide long-term integrity and reliability.
“Crossroads is pleased to help Massasoit Community College meet its need for low-cost records archiving,” said David Cerf, EVP of strategy and business development, Crossroads. “Massasoit’s selection of the StrongBox NAS is the latest illustration of StrongBox’s appeal for higher education organizations that must address long-term content preservation needs.“
