Altaro Earns Microsoft Certifications

Altaro Software, a developer of backup solutions for Hyper-V and file servers, has earned the Microsoft Gold Application Development competency, demonstrating ability and commitment to meet Microsoft customers’ needs in business environment.

To earn a Microsoft Gold competency, partners must complete exams to prove their level of technology expertise, and then designate these certified professionals to one Microsoft competency, ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They also must submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects (along with implementing a yearly customer satisfaction study), meet a revenue commitment (for most gold competencies), and pass technology and/or sales assessments.

Altaro also confirmed its flagship product, Hyper-V Backup, is now Microsoft certified for Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2. These certifications identify software solutions that meet Microsoft standards for compatibility and recommended practices with the respective Windows Server OSs. Certified applications have been tested by ISVs using technical specifications and tools required by Microsoft.
