Citizens Business Bank Achieves Faster Data Recovery

Citizens Business Bank, a financial institution with nearly 50 locations throughout California, achieved faster data recovery by combining Silver Peak, Inc. data acceleration software with Dell SC-Series Storage.

“Our customers rely on our online banking applications to conduct their day-to-day transactions. Downtime is not an option for us. If a disaster hits our data center, we need to have our system up and running within 24 hours so we need to be ableto replicate within 24 hours,” said Steve Borba, AVP and network security manager, Citizens Business Bank. “We originally had a 45 Mb/s pipe and then expanded to a 100 Mbps pipe, but it still wasn’t enough to replicate all of our data to our DR site.”

While running Dell SC-Series Storage SAN-to-SAN replication with vSphere 5.5, the company needed to find a software-based WAN solution that would integrate with both infrastructures. The company selected Silver Peak due its flexible software model and data acceleration capabilities.
