…And Reaches Half a Million ShadowProtect Restore Points With Probax

Corporate Backup has reached a storage milestone with their backup management tool called Probax.

“We’re incredibly excited about housing 500,000 ShadowProtect restore points on the Probax platform and infrastructure,” said company director Kevin Allan. “Having IT companies vote with their feet and place their trust in an Australian platform is incredibly exciting for us“.

“This figure of half a million restore points is based solely on the number of ShadowProtect backups being replicated to Probax” said Kyle Walter, head of sales, Corporate Backup. “If we were to account for the other data types supported by Probax like block level backups, NAS syncing and Veeam replication, the number actual restore points being protected would be well over a million“

The company expects to double the number of restore points being backed up by 2Q15.

“As we integrate more market leading backup products into the Probax platform, it will become easier and easier for IT companies to push ever-increasing volumes of data to the cloud,” said Walter. “We’re also developing ways to replicate top-tier hardware based solutions to the Probax platform, supporting the likes of EMC and NetApp.“
