SNC, headquartered in Sparks, NV, is one of America’s fastest growing private companies based on its expansion and reputation for rapid, innovative, and agile technology solutions in electronics, aerospace, avionics, space, propulsion, micro-satellite, aircraft, communications systems and energy. Under the leadership of CEO Fatih Ozmen and president Eren Ozmen, SNC has a workforce of over 3,000 personnel in 30 locations in 16 states. Its six unique business areas are dedicated to providing solutions to SNC’s customer base.

Seeking to upgrade its mission-critical Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) system with a fast and efficient storage solution based on flash memory, SNC vetted several all-flash array vendors and selected Nimbus Data because of its ability to deliver a solution that was compact and delivered I/O performance. Additionally, Nimbus Data’s multiprotocol support and the options on storage capacity separated it from the competition. SNC has purchased seven AFA’s from Nimbus Data since 2012.

As a systems integrator, our customers rely on SNC to develop the best computing infrastructure for their environment,” said Kirk Chang, chief systems engineer, SNC’s information and sensor solutions business area. “For this particular customer, we needed to build a system that could deliver data fast and reliably. Nimbus Data not only fit the performance requirements we were looking for, but the multiprotocol support provided for ease-of-integration into our environment. The 2U form factor, which allows us to maximize our limited space, was especially important.”

Many of SNC’s customers operate in extreme conditions, demanding a tuned architecture to consistently deliver performance. SNC tested the array in a temperature chamber that measured its operating range under extreme conditions. The array excelled in the tests, maintaining low-power consumption while delivering consistent I/O performance and accelerating both random access and sequential workloads.

SNC is recognized for their innovation in developing robust computing systems that literally push the physical boundaries for how technology is used today,” said Tom Isakovich, CEO and founder, Nimbus Data. “SNC has been a great customer of Nimbus Data’s over the past few years. We’ve built a level of trust and confidence in our technology that can’t be replicated. It’s pretty astounding the stress, reliability and performance tests they perform on each system to ensure their customers will have consistent and predictable availability of data.”
