Nebula Joins NetApp Alliance Partner Program
To deliver private cloud storage solutions
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 20, 2014 at 2:47 pmNebula, Inc., the enterprise private cloud company, announced membership in the NetApp Alliance Partner Program.
Through the collaboration with NetApp, Nebula will deliver cloud-integrated storage solutions that create a unified enterprise compute and private cloud experience for organizations.
The integration between Nebula and NetApp will enable enterprises to connect NetApp’s storage OS, clustered Data ONTAP, to the Nebula One Private Cloud and service a range of workloads, from demanding to elastic compute environments, scale-out NAS, and enterprise applications. Clustered Data ONTAP simplifies data management in the cloud with an unified scale-out storage platform.
“Enterprises trust their storage, so do we,” said Gordon Stitt, CEO, Nebula. “The deployment of NetApp storage and data management technology enables Nebula private clouds to deliver enterprise storage features such as DR, data replication, and storage clustering to achieve maximum uptime, while leveraging existing storage resource investments. This helps bridge enterprise data and private clouds without having to rely on cloud storage – eliminating the need to migrate data, minimize the need for cloud expertise, and enterprise backup tools don’t need to be re-qualified.“
“By working with companies such as Nebula, customers will have access to solutions that help bridge from a virtual environment to a private cloud for demanding scale-out workloads,” said Jeff O’Neal, senior director, cloud solutions group, NetApp. “NetApp will continue to evolve our relationship with Nebula to build solutions to streamline and accelerate deployment of private clouds for today’s enterprise. This collaboration will deliver predictable and consistent storage performance that’s needed regardless of workloads.“
Nebula plans to roll out the NetApp storage and data management integration in the coming months.
It showcased its private cloud storage integration with clustered Data ONTAP OS at the OpenStack Summit session Introducing Nebula: Experience Turnkey Private Cloud, last May 12.
