Demartek Evaluates NetApp Hybrid Array With Flash Pool

Demartek LLC, a computer industry analyst firm with its own computer test lab, has evaluated the NetApp Hybrid Array with Flash Pool Technology.

“The NetApp Flash Pool technology provides accelerated and more consistent storage performance than the performance available with HDD drive only storage volumes,” said Dennis Martin, Demartek president. “We tested different configurations and found that NetApp’s Flash Pool technology provided not only a significant increase in performance and lower latency, but also a lower cost per IO/s and cost per gigabyte compared to the hard-disk drive only solution.”
