Carolyn Crandall VP Marketing, Maxta

Maxta, Inc. announced the appointment of 25-year technology industry executive Carolyn Crandall as its VP marketing.

 Most recently, she was VP of corporate and field marketing for Nimble Storage, where she helped propel Nimble Storage to a leading market position in hybrid storage.

“I look forward to the opportunity of positioning Maxta as the truly disruptive company it is,” said Crandall. “I see 2014 as the year of the converged data center with Maxta leading the charge with its storage platform. I am confident that the world will soon know that Maxta will do for storage what VMware did for server virtualization.“

Crandall is an expert in marketing, sales and channel best practices, with a track record of driving revenue growth and company valuation. She will be responsible for the development, oversight, and execution of Maxta’s marketing strategy and growth initiatives. Prior to joining Nimble Storage, she served as VP of WW marketing at Riverbed. Before that, she held VP roles with Seagate and Juniper Networks, as well as positions with Cisco Systems and National Semiconductor.

Crandall attended Santa Clara University, where she studied electrical engineering/computer science. In addition to being named to CRN’s Women of the Channel for five years, Crandall has also been recognized as one of the Power 100 last year and among the Top 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel in 2008/2009 by CRN.
