Cloud Storage Company Firedrive Adds Groups, Profiles and Privacy Controls
Native desktop and mobile app to come this year

These updates provide users with more flexibility for sharing files, as well as increased security in the online landscape.
As a cloud and backup storage solution, it is tailored for students, professionals, and anyone who needs access to more than 150 types of files from multiple locations. Users can organize their personal and professional data on any device – the only requirement is an internet connection.
The cloud platform currently boasts more than 3.5 million registered users, with 500,000 new members since launching the new platform in February 2014.

For security, the company uses industry standard encryption to secure and safeguard all user accounts. User’s share links are virtually uncrawable by search engines and impossible to guess unless they are shared on public blogs, forums, or the like. With this update, users have the ability to share files and documents privately within groups.
In 2014 the company plans to introduce features, including: desktop applications for both Mac and Windows, iOS and Android native applications, backup and syncing, and end-to-end encryption.
