IBM 7216 Multi-Media Enclosure Now Supports RDX3 Removable HDDs
As well as DAT, LTO-5 and DVD-RAM

The RDX USB docking station is designed to be compatible with most RDX removable disk drive cartridges when used in the same OS.
Removable RDX drives are in a rugged cartridge that inserts in an RDX removable (USB) disk docking station (feature number EU03). They drives are compatible with docking stations installed internally in POWER6 and POWER7 servers.
Media used in the 7216 DAT160 SAS and USB tape drive features are compatible with DAT160 tape drives installed internally in POWER6 and POWER7 servers, and in BladeCenter systems.
Media used in half-high LTO-5 tape drives is compatible with HH LTO-5 tape drives installed in IBM TS2250 and TS2350 external tape drives, IBM LTO-5 tape libraries, and HH LTO-5 tape drives installed internally in POWER6 and POWER7 servers.
Some 7216-1U2 Storage Enclosure features are available for MES orders. For storage enclosure requirements, the 7226-1U3 offers many of the 7216 features as well as several advanced RDX, tape drive, and DVD-RAM features.
