FalconStor Offers Free Migration to IBM ProtecTIER Customers

FalconStor Software, Inc. announces a free migration program for IBM ProtecTIER customers, offering a no charge, like-for-like license swap.

Due to the interoperable, hardware-agnostic nature of FalconStor technology, this migration program allows customers to reuse their existing hardware.

Customers migrating to FalconStor’s solution will experience complete BC, as automatic tape caching functions allow backups and recoveries to continue uninterrupted as data or tapes are migrated in the background.

Free migration program applies to like-for-like license swaps with equal capacity. New customers will be migrated onto the recently launched FalconStor Optimized Backup & Deduplication 8.0. This solution platform allows users to manage both block and file backup and deduplication on a single node, reducing the backup window and shrinking the storage footprint.

New customers are required to sign a three-year maintenance agreement and can purchase additional capacity and/or data management solutions at their discretion.

Availability and pricing FalconStor’s free migration program is available through December 31, 2014. Migration support is also available at FalconStor’s standard rates, including basic installation and integration services, planning, design, and optimization services.
