Fujitsu Certifies Jeda Virtual SAN Controller

For networking Eternus storage arrays

Jeda Networks, Inc. announced that Fujitsu Ltd has certified Jeda’s virtual SAN controller, the Fabric Network Controller (FNC), with their FCoE-enabled ETERNUS DX series storage arrays.

Jeda Networks has applied software defined networks technology to the SAN, resulting in next generation scalable and virtualized SANs.

The FNC supports FCoE enabled devices, delivering on the initial promise of this standard protocol with performance, scalable and lower cost alternative to FC and iSCSI solutions. The FNC has been integrated with a number of multi-vendor 10Gb and 40Gb data center Ethernet switches and converged Ethernet network controllers. Since the FNC is software, it is network and access speed agnostic, so as Ethernet fabrics migrate to 100Gb/s and beyond, the FNC will continue to work within these next generation networks.

The Jeda FNC provides several advantages:
