Economics of the TeraStack Solution by Hie Electronics

Hie Electronics, Inc., in long-term, scalable storage solutions and the manufacturer of the TeraStack Solution, announced that the economics of their product line has been validated by Facebook’s Blu-ray cold storage prototype.

The Facebook technology is following the commercial product architecture established by Hie Electronics, a Texas-based technology company.

Hie Electronics has sold its hardware system, the TeraStack Solution, to pharmaceutical companies AbbVie and Abbott Laboratories, defense contractor General Dynamics and the U.S. Department of Justice among others.

“The Department of Defense has a DIACAP hardened version. Hie Electronics also has shipped products internationally. It’s a data center in a box,” the founder and president of Hie Electronics, Patrick Humm, says of TeraStack Solution.
