Autodesk Adopts Dot Hill AssuredSAN 4004

Autodesk will integrate AssuredSAN 4004 storage systems featuring 16Gb FC connections as part of its solution for 3D visual effects and finishing. Dot Hill’s systems can be configured as either DAS or as a SAN as needed.
Since its introduction of AutoCAD software in 1982, Autodesk continues to develop a portfolio of software for global markets. The company’s customers in the media and entertainment industries – including the last 16 Academy Award winners for best visual effects – use Autodesk software to design, visualize and simulate their ideas. Solutions include Autodesk Flame and Autodesk Flame Premium software for 3D visual effects, relighting, grading and finishing for film and television.
Flame Premium 3D visual effects software is a VFX, real-time color grading, and editorial finishing post-production solution. With Flame Premium, visual effects artists can supervise projects and perform creative tasks in an artist-driven visual environment to meet today’s tough creative challenges.
