New international HQs in Singapore led by Laurent Dedenis
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 14, 2014 at 3:03 pmAcronis International GmbH announced operational changes that will increase focus on emerging markets, technology partnerships, acquisitions and business scalability. These changes will help accelerate market adoption of the Acronis AnyData Engine, providing easy, complete and safe backup, DR and secure access solutions across any and all data, environments and locations.
Yury Larichev, former CEO of Acumatica, joins Acronis as president and will drive the company’s growth goals.
Acronis is also launching its international HQs in Singapore to capitalise on the AsiaPac and Japan (APJ) markets.
Laurent Dedenis will lead this office as the newly appointed president of international operations.
To provide further support, key executives will also transition into different roles to leverage their experience and capitalise on further opportunities for growth.
Optimising for Scale and Growth
Yury Larichev will leverage his success as the CEO of rapidly growing cloud ERP company, Acutmatica, and over 20 years of experience in scaling organisations. Larichev brings diverse channel sales, marketing and business development experience to the team at Acronis to help achieve the company’s growth goals. With Acumatica, he achieved 350% Y/Y sales growth in 2013 streamlining activities around products and the partner channel. He also served in multiple positions at Microsoft, where he was in charge of SMB and channel sales in Microsoft Russia (opened 34 regional offices, achieved 350% revenue growth in three years) and led the worldwide SMB sales and marketing team in Microsoft Corporate HQ with $4.5 billion global revenue.
Focusing on Emerging Markets
Acronis executive Laurent Dedenis, who initially established Acronis’ presence across APJ and EMEA, will transition to president of international operations and be based in Singapore. He has 20 years of experience in markets throughout the world; from 2011-’14, he served in the US as Acronis’ president of global sales and marketing, from 2007-’10 as executive VP for EMEA, and as executive VP for Asia from 2005-’07 where he grew Acronis’ business to tens of millions of dollars in revenue.
“The Acronis AnyData engine delivers the industry’s best data protection for specific workloads, while seamlessly integrating to become a comprehensive solution. Our new team is the same – made of professionals who are the best in their individual fields, but when assembled, they will take Acronis to a new level,” said Serguei Beloussov, CEO Acronis. “With Yury’s appointment, we’ll be able to maximise our growth potential and Laurent will ensure we capitalise on opportunities in APJ. These changes allow me to focus more on what I came back to Acronis for – strategy and innovation into data management, also providing more time for investment activities with Runa Capital.“
Increased Focus on Technical Partnerships and Acquisition
To increase focus on business development, Ezequiel Steiner, current GM of Acronis’ mobility business unit, is adding SVP of business development, legal and corporate development to his responsibilities. In this role, he will focus on strategic partnerships and identifying potential acquisitions and the legal process associated with them.
Before Acronis, Ezequiel Steiner was CEO of Acumatica, where he implemented a 100% indirect strategy through hundreds of VARs and OEM partners. Prior to this role, he ran business development and acquisition for Parallels, where he helped grow the company to a leader in hosting automation and virtualisation through several acquisitions and dozens of OEM agreements worth tens of millions of dollars.
