Skyera Expanding
Doubled headcount last year
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 11, 2014 at 2:33 pmSkyera Inc. announced a corporate expansion to help satisfy the demand for its flash-based storage systems.
Demand for Skyera’s purpose-built, vertically integrated new storage platform is at an all-time high, as it delivers density and efficiency to mitigate the expense of explosive data growth.
Since inception, Skyera has grown operations from its Silicon Valley origins to include other domestic and international regions. In the last year alone, the company has doubled its headcount to accelerate R & D efforts, while establishing a strong sales presence on the east coast of the US. Plans are to double its sales and marketing employee count in the near future to keep up with customer activities.
Last year’s $51 million Series B funding round helped accelerate Skyera’s rapid growth by driving broader adoption of its enterprise solid-state storage solutions. With 42% of product revenue now contributed from outside the US, the company is in the process of securing additional funding to meet its global demand by expanding beyond the Americas into the EMEA region and throughout Pacific Rim territories.
“We have seen a remarkable uptick in interest for our enterprise solid-state storage products from around the globe in the past year, and we eagerly anticipate meeting that demand through continued growth throughout the world,” said Radoslav Danilak, CEO, Skyera. “By expanding our staffing levels and physical presence in markets everywhere, we are poised to reap tremendous success from organizations desperately in need of the performance, density, and price parity with HDD drives that our all-flash arrays provide.“
