She will lead global marketing initiatives and will report to Doron Kempel, chairman and CEO.
“Marianne’s long track record of success and her deep marketing experience will be instrumental in helping drive SimpliVity into its next stage of growth,” said Kempel. “We’re thrilled that she has joined our leadership team to aggressively execute our global marketing strategy.”
Previously, Budnik was the CMO at Acme Packet Inc., where she drove the organization’s overall marketing strategy, integrated marketing initiatives and product line management organization, through the company’s acquisition by Oracle in 2013 for $2.1 billion.
Prior to Acme Packet, she served as CMO and SVP at CA Technologies, where she was responsible for marketing strategy, including corporate marketing, field marketing and product marketing initiatives. In addition, she has held a series of leadership positions within EMC Corporation, including VP, global field marketing and programs, heading the marketing operations and strategic planning organization, and director of software product marketing.
She holds an MBA from Boston University and earned a bachelor’s degree from Babson College.
