Cecil Pérez VP Latin America Sales, Riverbed

Was Symantec VP of mid-market channel sales for Americas region.

Riverbed Technology, Inc. announced that Cecil Perez has joined the company as VP, Latin America sales, reporting to Rob Rosiello, SVP Americas sales.

In this role, he is responsible for sales strategy and execution in Latin America, and helping to drive the next phase of growth in the region.

Perez, a native of Latin America, is a senior sales leader with more than two decades of sales and marketing experience in high technology, including at Symantec, Check Point Software, Apple and Microsoft. His expertise includes executive-level general management, product and marketing management, remote sales operation management and business development. He has been a frequent guest speaker at regional events in Latin America.

As we continue to expand both our solution and geographic footprints, Cecil brings to Riverbed an in-depth knowledge of Latin America that is critical to our growth in the region,” said Rosiello. “He is a skilled sales leader and already has a depth of experience with Riverbed customers and our partner ecosystem.

Pe?rez, Riverbed Perez joins Riverbed from Check Point Software Technologies where he was VP of Latin America and the lead regional sales executive responsible for all field operations. He opened sales offices in Chile, Colombia and Central America and achieved significant regional growth during his tenure. Prior to Check Point, Perez was VP at Symantec Corporation where he held positions as VP of mid marketing channel sales, as well as VP sales and marketing for Latin America. Under his leadership, Symantec Latin America grew revenues consistently, captured market share in the enterprise security space, and was considered the leading security software provider. Prior to joining Symantec, he was international product manager for Internet and mobile computing at Apple Computer and reseller marketing representative for reseller channels at Microsoft Corporation where he was responsible for the consumer business in the Southeast Region of the United States.
