Dot Hill Storage Solutions for Video Post-Production

Dot Hill Systems Corp. announced its new AssuredSAN 4004 models, including the new high-density Ultra48, will be showcased with several video post-production solutions at NAB Show 2014 at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 7-10.

NAB attendees will see how AssuredSAN 4004 solutions deliver storage performance for HD, UHD and 4K resolution video workflows, as demonstrated by newly published benchmarks and live show-floor demonstrations. Designed to accelerate video streaming, and support virtually any post-production environment including Mac OS X, Linux and Windows, AssuredSAN storage solutions are optimized for workflows.

Dot Hill will demonstrate its AssuredSAN 4004 solutions, which support multiple streams of content in HD (1,920×1,080), UHD (3,840×2,160) and 4K (4,096×2,160) resolutions, in the post-production area of the South Hall. Attendees will see the new Ultra48 AssuredSAN, 2U array with 48 drives, and other 4004 models running high definition and 4K content with:

Benchmark Studies Highlight Video Post-Production Workflow Performance
Dot Hill recently published numbers to substantiate the performance of AssuredSAN 4004 storage in 4K, UHD and HD video post production workflows. Through commonly used codecs and an industry standard benchmark, the Dot Hill report documents how the AssuredSAN architecture delivers performance for high-end video editing applications. In this demanding test, the Dot Hill AssuredSAN 4004 storage systems demonstrated two simultaneous streams of uncompressed 4K video.
