Jaspersoft’ Business Intelligence Integrated With MapR Distribution for Apache Hadoop

Jaspersoft Corp., the intelligence inside applications and business processes, announced a partnership with MapR Technologies, Inc., in Hadoop technology for big data deployments, whereby Jaspersoft’s business intelligence (BI) offering is integrated with the MapR Distribution for Apache Hadoop.

“Customers can now combine MapR with Jaspersoft either on-premises or hourly in the cloud through Amazon Web Services,” said Jon Posnik, VP of business development, partners, and alliances, MapR. “This powerful and flexible combination addresses customers’ needs for Hadoop reporting and analytics.”

MapR is available as an option within Amazon Elastic MapReduce (Amazon EMR). Jaspersoft and MapR are both available on a pay-per-hour basis on the AWS marketplace, providing developers with flexible and cost effective ways to use big data, reporting and analytics.

With this MapR integration, Jaspersoft is available for all versions of Amazon EMR, being a reporting and analytics solution offered at a utility-based pricing model on the AWS marketplace and through the cloud.
