Emulex Extends Distribution Agreement With Ingram Micro

Emulex Corporation has signed a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Asia Ltd for its portfolio of FC and Ethernet I/O connectivity solutions, including OneConnect OCe14000 family of (10/40GbE Network Adapters and CNAs).

Ingram Micro Asia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc., headquartered in Singapore, is a wholesale provider of a range of computer products in AsiaPac (APAC). This agreement extends the reach of Emulex network connectivity products in Singapore, Indochina Regions (Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar), Vietnam and the Philippines.

“This agreement with Ingram Micro not only strengthens our reach into APAC, it strengthens our long-term growth strategy in the region,” said Jimmy Yam, VP sales, APAC, Emulex. “Offering our complete portfolio of network connectivity products through Ingram Micro’s distribution channel, including the new OneConnect family of adapters and the latest Gen 5 (16Gb) FC HBAs in this region will enable our end user customers to maximize the performance of their I/O intensive applications and services, such as cloud, flash storage, and virtualization.“

Together with Ingram Micro, Emulex will extend and recruit new resellers into the Emulex ConnectPartner Program, to grow the partner network and expertise in the region, and provide support to its customers in Singapore, Indochina Regions, Philippines and Vietnam. The Connect Partner Program will also provide both companies’ sales and reseller teams with the technical tools needed to ramp up, and with training, education services and professional services to equip them with the skills and technologies information. In addition, business partners can utilize Ingram Micro’s Proof-of-Concept centers to further seek out new opportunities.
