This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 12, 2014 at 2:58 pmioSafe, Inc., a specialist of disaster-proof hardware, announced a partnership with CMS Distribution Ltd, a VAD of storage, networking and IT infrastructure products and services.
This new alliance signifies ioSafe’s expansion in the UK and will see CMS distributing ioSafe’s range of products with immediate effect.
Founded in 2005, ioSafe’s patented technology provides physical security and protection against fire, flood and theft for thousands of homes and businesses. Like an aircraft black box, ioSafe adds physical security and protection to data.
“In many cases, we don’t know how vulnerable our data is until it’s too late, the recent flooding in the UK has really highlighted the need to safeguard our digital world; from precious family photos to critical business data, this protection has never been so crucial,” says Robb Moore, ioSafe CEO “ioSafe offer a wealth of storage solutions, from external USB drives to NAS expandable up to 90TB. As well as vastly larger capacities, our products also offer the added security and reassurance, that users simply don’t get from cloud storage. We provide our customers with the added assurance of our Data Recovery Service, which covers users for not only fire/flood damage, but also HDD failure.“
CMS Distribution is now distributing ioSafe’s range of products, from the single drive solutions that include the Solo Pro external HDD and the G3, a silent USB 3.0 storage solution for the home; through to the multidrive NAS products that include the 214 2-bay NAS, powered by Synology, Inc., to the expandable 1513+, capable of holding up to 90TB of data (when paired with the N513X expansion chassis). All products come with warranty and ioSafe’s Data Recovery Service (DRS), which provides up to £3,500 towards the cost of third-party forensic data recovery services if required for any reason.
Simon Atkinson, CMS Distribution’s enterprise storage business development manager, comments: “We’re extremely excited to be working with ioSafe. We believe this to be a fantastic addition to our portfolio of products and is unique in the market. It also couldn’t come at a more critical time; with the issues caused by the recent weather, the need for disaster-proof storage in the UK has never been greater. storage is crucial to so many individuals and businesses and people are now looking for more protection and assurance; ioSafe’s products offer all that and more“.
