BIOSAP Inc. announces its DVpro series of storage ranging from USB3/eSATA, SAS and later Thunderbolt 2 interface, Feb 28, 2014.

DVpro series as its name is designed for Video professionals handling high definition video workflow such as 4K video editing and recording. DVT10B3 is a fast USB 3.0 RAID-6 storage.

For decade, USB has been a popular interface used for backup and portable storage yet not ever been considered for storage on mainstream applications such as non-linear editing. Along with evolution of super high speed USB interface, for first time, a native USB 3.0 host can reach more than 350MB/s substantial throughput. DVT10B3 facilitates high definition video workflow with >350MB/s substantial data rate at RAID-6 with large capacity and affordable SATA HDDs.

The purpose-built RAID controller ERIC10V6 resides in DVT10B3 system performing real time double redundancy data I/O on the fly. For highest level reliability and longevity, the controller conducts real time spot-recovery and verification read-after-write to bare the weakness of large and economic SATA HDDs. Especially for multiple streaming video application such as NLE or surveillance, it is configurable to different stream buffer size and number of sequential stream list.
