NetJapan ActiveImage Protector 3.5 SP4 Imaging Backup Software
Support for Windows desktop and rerver OSes and uEFI motherboard

It now supports Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8.1, and Microsoft Surface Pro. New features include incremental backup of ReFS volumes and conversion of ActiveImage Protector image files into VHDX VM file format.
ActiveImage Protector 3.5 SP4 will be made available in six editions, i.e., Virtual Edition and Hyper-V Edition for virtual environments, Server Edition and Desktop Edition for physical environments, and IT Pro Edition for system administrators.
- Now supporting Windows Server 2012 R2, Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 (a free standalone hypervisor offering from Microsoft) and Windows 8.1 Client Hyper-V. ReZoom and Seamless Hot Restore (SHR) for live VM recovery or live migration are included for both Hyper-V server and Client Hyper-V.
- Enhanced ActiveImage Protector Boot Environment (AIPBE) builder.
- New Pre-Boot AIPBE feature allows booting AIPBE from HDD without requiring optical media, enabling the restoration of backup images from a Surface Pro tablet PC.
- New Hyper-V VHDX support for Physical to Virtual conversion.
- Incremental backup of ReFS volumes.
- Support for the latest uEFI motherboards. Pre-Boot AIPBE (boot to Linux) support for uEFI native mode.
Standard features include hot and cold backup, Inline Data Deduplication Compression (IDDC), Physical to VM conversion, smart sector backup, scheduled backups, fast incremental backups, flexible scripting, boot recovery environment, individual folder and file recovery, Architecture Intelligent Restore (AIR) technology for restoring to virtual or physical machines with dissimilar hardware, flexible storage configuration, bare metal recovery, and U.S.-based technical support.
The software and support are available in Japanese and U.S. English. The company distributes it through authorized system integrators, business partners, distributors, online shops and direct web sales.
ActiveImage Protector for Hyper-V Enterprise costs $1,899.
