PNY Becoming Manufacturer for Spyrus in USA

SPYRUS, Inc. and PNY Technologies, Inc. announced a partnership to manufacture Windows To Go USB 3.0 SSD live drives certified by Microsoft.

This partnership positions SPYRUS to meet demand for tens of millions of identity-based USB drives in the next several years.

A feature of the SPYRUS USB 3.0 product lines is a hardware chain-of-trust anchored by the SPYRUS Rosetta Micro FIPS 140-2 Level 3 hardware security module. With the Rosetta Micro PKI feature, enterprises can leverage their investment in public key and smart card infrastructures, extending their foundation for two-factor authentication, smart card login, VPN access, secure email, and authenticated online collaboration. This hardware chain of trust protects user and enterprise data, networks, and VPNs against hacking and counterfeiting attacks which can compromise private and public key usage when PKI operations are performed solely in software.

SPYRUS is extending the USB 3.0 platform by introducing the PocketVault and PocketVault P-3X hardware-encrypted SSD storage drives enabled with the same embedded Rosetta smartcard security for strong two-factor authentication applications.

SPYRUS live drives booting either Windows and Linux and PocketVault storage drives boast fast random access read and write speeds, the critical performance metric for optimizing OS performance. Compatible with USB 2.0 ports, the drives are  plug and play with existing PC and most Macs (Mac support provided by SPYRUS).

SPYRUS smartcard-enabled live drives are for securely accessing cloud-based services with two-factor authentication. Organizations can economically upgrade to Windows 8.1 while meeting mandates for FIPS 140-2 validated two-factor authentication.

The optional SEMS device management system allows enterprise administrators to register, block/unblock, revoke, set policies, audit, and ‘kill’ the SPYRUS products from a central location.
