Tintri Opens EMEA Technical Support Centre
In Cork, Ireland
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 25, 2014 at 2:53 pmTintri, Inc. has chosen Cork in Ireland as the location for its EMEA technical support centre, for its European growth.
“The opening of the technical support centre ensures that we are well placed to provide support to our rapidly increasing EMEA client base. It also allows us to support our existing value added channel and distribution partners including Espion and Hibernia Evros,” said Doug Rich, VP of EMEA, Tintri.
The local universities, University College Cork (UCC) and Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) make Cork an ideal location for the EMEA support office. The universities generate a pool of local technical talent.
Many large technology companies also have technical HQs or a presence in Cork. The high concentration of technology companies in a relatively small location makes Cork a fitting location to network and do business.
Rich continued: “Since its formation, Tintri has steadily grown and now employs nearly 200 globally. This growth, particularly in Europe, has highlighted the need for a dedicated EMEA customer support team and Cork, with its wealth of technical resources seemed like the ideal location. Communication is key and we pride ourselves on the support we offer our customers. Over the next 12 months we plan to grow the team by 50%, which means the team at Cork will play a crucial role in our future expansion within EMEA.“
At the helm of Tintri’s EMEA support centre is senior manager, Ian Redmond. Redmond, former support manager at EMC, is responsible for increasing awareness of offerings and positioning the company as a challenger in the EMEA storage market.
