A member of the Hitachi Data Systems Technology Alliance Program, NTP Software works in conjunction with Hitachi NAS Platform to enforce and maintain quotas and to monitor, block and manage files as part of comprehensive policy controls established by storage administrators.
With this latest agreement, Hitachi NAS Platform and NTP Software offer customers scalable solutions that allow companies granular control of how much storage end users can consume, what types of data they can store and how long they can keep that data.
“Together, Hitachi NAS Platform and NTP Software offer organizations scalability, lower operating costs and fine-grained management and optimization of unstructured data,” said Tim Durant, senior director, global ISV alliances and data protection, HDS. “This latest agreement extends our commitment to helping customers improve efficiency with real-time policy enforcement.“
With the expanded partnership, HDS will continue to support NTP Software’s family of software, including QFS, File Reporter and File Auditor.
“We work diligently with a number of strategic partners to ensure that they have the tools to enhance the control and management of file data on their particular platforms,” said Bruce Backa, CEO, NTP Software. “Having previously partnered with Hitachi Data Systems, it was a natural evolution to incorporate our offerings with their integrated solutions. Together, we can ensure that our customers derive the most value from their storage investment while taking advantage of opportunities to reduce their ongoing costs.”
