This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 4, 2014 at 2:49 pmIBM General Parallel File System (GPFS) Pattern V1.0.0.1 for IBM PureApplication Systems provides a highly available shared file system required by many production level workloads in multideployment solutions.
GPFS Pattern supports:
- Deploying a replicated, highly available file system on a single rack or spanning PureApplication Systems of the same architecture.
- Deployment of virtual system patterns using a GPFS shared file system.
- Deployment of virtual application patterns using a GPFS shared file system.
- Enabling connection to a GPFS cluster external to PureApplication System.
If you are an existing PureApplication System customer with current appliance maintenance and S&S, you are entitled to use the GPFS Pattern.
Both the current PureApplication System license and the new GPFS Pattern license apply if you are using the GPFS pattern.
Key prerequisites: Any PureApplication System W1500 or W1700
