JAMF Casper Suite Provides Automated Disk Encryption for Mac

JAMF Software LLC announced automation for FileVault 2 disk encryption for the Casper Suite.

As Apple continues to grow in the enterprise, the Casper Suite is embracing Apple technologies to ensure Macs are able to meet corporate security standards. This feature provides organizations with an automated way to ensure corporate data is secure in Mac environments.

FileVault 2’s full disk encryption provides peace of mind that data is secure. The suite extends this native technology, providing a consistent end-user experience, while offering administrators reporting and compliance adherence options.

Features include:

• Configuration – Automatic deployment and setup of FileVault 2 disk encryption technologies

• Reporting – Provides administrators and security teams with high level, or granular views of the overall security of Mac environments

• Remediation – Remotely lock or wipe a compromised device on the network; Ability to reissue an encryption key if reporting is compromised
