“In 2013, we set out to achieve many milestones for Talon,” said Shirish Phatak, CEO, Talon. “We are excited about the company’s global progress in all phases over the last 12 months. We delivered on our commitment and vision to continue supplying industry-leading innovation to the market resulting in increased customer acquisition. Additional highlights that contributed to progress include:

- 76% of global revenue came from new customers.
Customers
Talon continued to grow its customer base, especially in the global architecture, engineering and enterprise IT infrastructure. The RemoteFAST platform is winning the large opportunities and getting strong reviews in the marketplace.

- The company has been closing deals faster and is winning pilots, as the alternatives to solve large file collaboration, and performance benefits are farther apart.
- RemoteFAST is recognized by many as a best of breed file sharing and collaboration solution that eliminates the need for remote branch infrastructure while providing unsurpassed increased performance benefits.
“We have worked directly with the team at Talon to engage in a RemoteFAST pilot that allowed our 100TB+ file set to be transparently extended into 14 different office locations,” said Stephen Cottham, group information and technology manager, Robert Bird Group. “The feedback from the locations has been fantastic, with users commenting that they feel like they are working on the LAN, which is exactly what we were aiming for. Speed, efficiency and performance are critical to the way we work as a business and having eliminated the latency issues, we are delighted with the results.“
Distribution
Talon established and completed agreements with new VADs including Cloud Distribution in the United Kingdom, Miel in France and Cloud Technologies in Netherlands.

MobileFAST is available for iOS, Android, and Windows 7/8. In addition, established a subscription-pricing model that drives immediate ROI for branch office infrastructures.

In March, the Talon Channel Program was launched, focusing on the convergence of file optimization and collaboration, giving resellers a way to tap into these growing markets and accelerate their businesses and profitability. 90% of Talon’s revenue went through its channels in 2013.
Expansion
Talon continues to operate a support and sales operations center in Amsterdam, Boston, MA, engineering in San Jose, CA, and operations from Mount Laurel, NJ.
“We exited 2013 with a strong tail wind and are looking forward to increasing this momentum into 2014,” said Andrew Mullen, SVP sales, Talon. “The market is telling us the problems of file collaboration continue to be a major performance and productivity bottleneck. We foresee many companies allocating line items in their budget to implement our technology.”
