After nearly a decade at Spectra Logic, Molly Rector, CMO, has accepted a position with another company.

She has been a tremendous asset to our team and we wish her all the best. Together we have succeeded in building a clear market understanding of the need for tape in archive and long term data retention. We have built a strong brand for Spectra’s innovative products and are on an exciting path in 2014 to release multiple new additions to our product line. It is going to be an exciting year for Spectra and you will continue to hear from us on a regular basis.
 
With the announcement of Molly’s new appointment we thought you might have a few questions regarding the transition.
 
 First, on behalf of Spectra Logic I am pleased to announce that Bruce Kornfeld has accepted the role of interim CMO. Many of you met Bruce at Spectra Logic’s Spectra Summit last fall and at other industry events Spectra participated in this past year. Bruce joined Spectra Logic in 2013 as an advisor for our emerging markets division and is a great addition to the deep bench strength of our talented Marketing team.
 
Spectra Logic has enjoyed more than three decades of success and growth due to our unrelenting focus on driving innovation and helping customers store their ever-increasing amount of data at the lowest possible cost. We see the demand for low-cost, long-term storage increasing over the coming years because most organizations just cannot afford to keep all their data on traditional disk systems any longer. Our vision and delivery on our roadmap are strong and consistent for delivering deep storage solutions.
 
We are pleased to welcome Bruce to his new role. He brings more than 20 years of experience as an executive in the enterprise computing industry in marketing, business development, product management and engineering, and I suspect many of you know him well from his previous roles at Dell and Compellent. He brings exceptional experience and skills to continue Spectra’s growth path and to execute the company’s vision.
