Silicon Image Chosen for Oppo Digital Blu-Ray Player

For integraton of 4K Ultra HD video processor

Silicon Image, Inc. announced that its 4K Ultra HD adaptive scaling video processor with VRS ClearView has been designed into OPPO Digital, Inc.‘s new BDP-103D Blu-ray Disc player.

The SiI9616 video processor uses adaptive techniques designed to scale both video and graphics up to 4K Ultra HD resolution at 60 frames per second and sharpen Blu-ray-quality video by enhancing image details and nuances.

It performs real-time, adaptive video processing to independently clean and scale video and graphics, improving image quality. Products that incorporate this technology can transform content from low-resolution, heavily compressed sources such as streaming media and downloaded Internet videos into high-quality HD video. They can also convert SD and HD video content into high-resolution 4Kx2K video, making today’s home theater equipment ready for the next generation of 4K Ultra HD displays.
