Nakivo Backup & Replication V3.8

Featuring vSphere 5.5 support and self-healing

NAKIVO Inc. has released v3.8 of NAKIVO Backup & Replication.

The new version adds vSphere 5.5 support and self-healing for backup repositories.

It now supports the most recent release of vSphere, including support for 62TB virtual disks. With this update, customers can backup, replicate, and recover VMs running on the latest VMware hypervisor.

In addition, the new version also adds support for the recent Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 OSs.

NAKIVO also introduces the self-healing feature for backup repositories. Network connectivity disruptions, change of credentials and permissions, improper backup repository detach, and even third-party software can cause metadata and backup data to be locked, partially written, or even corrupted in a backup repository. To ensure backup repository integrity at all times, NAKIVO introduces the self-healing feature. In the new version, the product runs scheduled self-checks to verify backup repository consistency and automatically repairs discovered errors.

Built for virtualization, NAKIVO Backup & Replication offers a data protection feature set for virtualized environments, including local and offsite VM backup and replication, support for live applications and databases, granular recovery, network acceleration, data deduplication and compression, Web UI, AES-256 encryption, advanced reporting, and vCloud Director support.

We are constantly inventing new approaches and technologies such as self-healing to improve our virtualization data protection solution,” said Bruce Talley, CEO and co-founder, NAKIVO. “Our growth is accelerating as more VMware professionals discover the advanced functionality, ease of use, and superior performance of NAKIVO Backup & Replication.”
