This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 25, 2013 at 2:43 pmThecus Tech Corp. introduces the N7710 and N8810U.
These NAS for SMB and enterprise networks will debut next month at CES 2014.
With upgraded hardware and features and software, these towers are performers for high-speed networks. The company will also be showcasing its SOHO/Home NAS models.
Speed, Pure and Simple
Powered by Pentium G850 Dual Core processors (2.9GHz) and 4GB DDR3 ECC memory, they represent upgrades over their predecessors. They are capable of delivering fast network speeds, and can be equipped with an optional 10GbE card (N7710-G and N8810U-G).
Find the Ideal Setup
Users can select a RAID configuration that provides the right balance of performance and protection for their needs, as the N7710 supports RAID-0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, JBOD, while the N8810U supports these levels as well as RAID-60. Both can serve up to 256 users, and also feature iSCSI thin provisioning, which prevents administrators from over-provisioning physical storage space before it is actually needed, thus reducing capital spending on storage.
Secure Software
To keep data safe and sound, both are shielded by McAfee Antivirus and backup data using Acronis True Image 2013 software. With this software users can either backup all their data with one click, or pick and choose only their most important files to backup. And thanks to the app developer community, over 90 official and third-party apps are available.
